These Terms and Conditions apply to the Databank Gift Voucher Portal.
It governs the purchase, issuance, delivery, and redemption of gift vouchers via the Databank Gift Voucher Portal.
A Databank Gift Voucher is an investment voucher which represents monetary value and is redeemable exclusively into a Databank MFund II account.
Gift Vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Each Gift Voucher is assigned a unique voucher code for identification and redemption.
By accessing and using the portal, the client acknowledges that he/she has fully read, understood and unconditionally agrees to comply with these terms and conditions.
Eligibility
Gift Vouchers may be purchased by both Databank and Non-Databank clients.
Recipients may or may not already hold a Databank MFund II account. However, redemption requires an active MFund II account.
Voucher Purchase & Delivery Process
All purchases are completed through guest checkout; no Databank account is required at the point of purchase.
Buyers must provide accurate and complete information during purchase. Databank shall not be responsible for errors arising from incorrect recipient details supplied by the buyer.
Gift Vouchers are only generated after successful payment confirmation.
Virtual Gift Vouchers will be delivered via email to the recipient on the buyer’s selected delivery date.
Physical Gift Vouchers may be collected at a selected Databank branch on the chosen collection date or after.
Voucher Redemption Process
Gift Vouchers may be redeemed either at a Databank branch or through the Redemption link on the Databank Gift Voucher Portal.
The voucher can only be redeemed into a Databank MFund II account.
Recipients without a Databank MFund II account must create one before redemption.
Redemption proceeds are processed within 3–5 working days after a redemption request has been successfully placed.
If a voucher remains unredeemed ninety (90) days after the delivery:
The buyer will be contacted.
If the buyer has a Databank account, the voucher value will be credited to that account.
If the buyer does not have an account, they will be required to open one to claim the voucher amount. No refunds will be made in cash.
Refunds & Cancellations
Once a gift voucher request has been made, it cannot be cancelled.
Once the gift voucher has been generated, no refunds or cancellations shall be permitted.
A refund will only be issued if there is a failure, due to system error, to deliver the virtual gift voucher to the recipient on the buyer’s selected delivery date or within 24 hours after the delivery date.
No refund will be issued if:
The gift voucher was successfully delivered within the defined turnaround time.
The purchase was processed using incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the buyer (e.g., wrong date ranges, incorrect recipient details).
The client no longer requires the gift voucher after it has been generated.
The recipient does not redeem after 90 days of delivery. The funds will be redeemed into the buyer’s account.
Standing terms
Before initiating a chargeback with an issuing bank, clients/buyers are required to first contact Databank using the details in clause 7 below to resolve any issue. Databank reserves the right to contest any chargeback by providing evidence of service delivery in accordance with these terms.
Databank reserves the right to withhold voucher issuance or deny any refund request in cases of suspected fraud, system abuse, or regulatory concerns.
Databank reserves the right to review, amend, modify, or revoke these terms and conditions, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion at any time when necessary. Any such changes shall take effect when posted on the website. It is the responsibility of the client to familiarize themselves with any amendments/modifications. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Failure by Databank to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

No. You do not need to have a Databank account to purchase a gift voucher for someone else.
Virtual vouchers are sent to the recipient’s email on the selected delivery date.
Physical vouchers can be collected from any selected Databank branch on the chosen collection date.
Gift vouchers can only be redeemed into a Databank investment account. If you do not have an account, you will be required to open one before redemption.
Only MFund 2 Gift Vouchers are currently available. MFund 2 is a low-risk money market fund, offering stable growth and easy access to funds within 5 working days. Learn more about MFund 2 here. You can, however, transfer the funds from MFund 2 to any other Databank fund after redeeming the voucher.

No. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. They can only be redeemed into a Databank mutual fund account.
Once redemption is successfully completed, funds will reflect in the recipient’s account within 3 to 5 working days.
No. Gift vouchers must be redeemed in full. Partial redemptions are not allowed, and the voucher amount cannot be split or redeemed in portions.
No, there are no additional fees for buying or redeeming the gift voucher. However, mobile money and card payments may attract the standard transaction fee from the network provider.
Yes, virtual gift vouchers are valid for 3 months after delivery. However, the physical vouchers are valid for 6 months after purchase.

Yes, you can get a voucher for someone under 18. However, redemption must be done at a Databank branch, and the minor must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Required documents include:
Birth certificate of the minor
Ghana Card of the parent/guardian
Passport-sized photographs of both the minor and parent/guardian
The minimum gift voucher amount is GHS 50.00. There is no maximum limit.
Please note that refunds are not permitted once a transaction has been successfully completed and the voucher has been delivered. Refunds will only be considered if the voucher is not delivered on the scheduled delivery date or within 24 hours after the delivery date. A chargeback may also be issued in cases of duplicate payments made for the same voucher request.
